#100happy today - When the Olympic torch came to Town

My boss agreed to let us all leave early to watch the Olympic torch go past, hurrah!
(He is a good boss, he makes everyone at work a cup of tea every morning without fail. Good lad.)

It was quite busy!

There was such a lovely atmosphere

The lady in the bottom right corner was brilliant, she was dancing and waving her flag...

Wooooooo!

Hyperactive Green Superheroes

We waited a long while for the torch and I managed to get a quick snap of it running past!

Shame I didn't bring my "proper" camera but glad I got these taken on my phone :)

Find out where the torch is off to next HERE

Heartbreaking to Heartwarming

Considering the events of the last few days, I thought the most fitting image to share with you as the first post of this blog was a sign of hope.

Restores your faith in humanity, doesn't it. Everyone involved in the #riotcleanup (search Twitter for hashtag #riotcleanup to see how you can get involved) is an absolute hero, as are the members of the emergency services who continue to protect the community when in the face of danger.

May the streets of the UK return to being peaceful and safe very soon.

This photo of a husband and wife making tea for the riot police is doing its rounds. They're all legends.
